Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce awards Showcase Publishing print and online directory publishing contract MAY 1, 2005 — The Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce has selected Showcase Publishing to be its publisher of their 2006, 2007 and 2008 print and online membership directories. Announced on April 29, 2005, Showcase Publishing was selected out of almost a dozen companies that had made proposals for the project. Managing Director Kelly Fermoyle and Production Manager Lauren Rozanski met with the Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce to establish a project roadmap in early May. The contract for the directory was signed by the Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce and Showcase Publishing on May 4, 2005. "We are excited to begin our work with Kansas City Chamber of Commerce," said Fermoyle, continuing "their already-impressive publications will be well-serviced by Showcase Publishing." In addition to a print directory created by Showcase Publishing, the Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce will also have an online directory powered by Showcase Publishing's exclusive PublishDirect software. The Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce was founded in 1887 as the Kansas City Commercial Club. In 1972, the group expanded their reach to encompass both states and over 15 separate counties, changing its name to the Greater Kansas City of Commerce.
